Front End Web-App Developer Internship Program (Unpaid) (School Credit)

Summary/Objective 

This Web/App programming Internship development position is an unpaid credit-bearing internship intended for students with a specialized skillset in website and mobile application programming to help assist on FindMyClinicalTrial. FindMyClinicalTrial is a small startup company working on creating a web/app that connects patients to clinical trials in the U.S.    

Essential Functions 

1. Help code and design the website and application for the company. This will require programming the website and app with a small team. 
2. Assist and work with the design team to help integrate all visual aspects.  
3. Collaborate in a small team environment on working through coding and design problems.  
4. This position will report to the head of the company of FindMyClinicalTrial and the programming team as needed.  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

• Each Web/App Programming Interns will work around 5 - 10 hour/week depending on class schedules. During the semester, Interns are expected to come to the weekly team meeting which will be determined by everyone’s schedule.  

Salary Range 

• Unpaid Internship (Must be able to register for School Internship Class) 
• School Credit can be earned through registrar and advising office 

Required Education and Experience 

Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time or part-time program seeking undergraduate or graduate degree at American University. Applicants will be expected to have: 

• Advanced website and app coding skills 
• Excellent organizational skills 
• Ability to multi-task 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a hybrid team environment 
• Excellent written, oral and communication skills 

Preferred Education and Experience 

• Experience creating front end code for websites and applications.
